All the overhyped news stories aside, 27 inches of snow in a day really does wreak havoc on a city. Trains aren't running. Buses are stuck in the streets. Cars are hidden under piles of snow.
But, for a car-less person with nowhere important to be, two feet of snow turns the city that never sleeps into a quiet, peaceful, and beautiful little town.
