I've been toying with the idea of uprooting for a couple of months to travel the world. Normally, people do this at some chronologically opportune time - after high school and before college, after college and before work, after work and before grad school, after grad school and before working again, after working again and before dying. Any of those seem like logical points at which to take a hiatus from the daily grind. However, between my friend Terry's e-mails, blog postings, and pictures (like the beach party above), logic seems to be fighting a losing battle.

Where will you go?
Don't know yet. The options so far are Laos, Thailand, China, Singapore, Australia, or maybe all of the above and then some. I think I'm a few frequent flyer miles short of an around the world ticket.
